John Carroll High School Athletic Field House

This project for the JCHS Athletic Field House began in spring 2021 with a kick-off at that year’s annual gala, held on the football field on April 30, 2021. At that time, the project was a simple metal warehouse to be constructed to the east of the football field next to the existing bathrooms.

Due to a variety of factors, the location of the project eventually had to be changed to what has traditionally been the booster parking lot to the west of the stadium.  With it, the scope of the project has grown substantially.  What began as a metal warehouse building has transformed into a 6,000 square  foot concrete block structure which will now include a state-of-the-art weight room, including 2500 square feet of practice turf for speed and agility training, as well as an indoor concession stand, ticketing window, and men’s and women’s restrooms for the athletic complex. This space will serve as a central hub for training and conditioning for all of our student-athletes.

We are thrilled to share that we are officially under contract with local construction company Richard K. Davis Construction Corp. for this project, and clearing of the site will begin next month once permitting is complete.  Our official ground-breaking will take place at the first home football game of the 2024 season on August 16th, 2024.

Please note that as the scope of this project has grown and expanded exponentially, so has the need for additional funding and support.  If you would like to learn more about new naming opportunities and other ways to financially support this exciting new endeavor for our school, please reach out to Director of Advancement Mrs. Jessica Krueger or incoming President Mrs. Corey Heroux.

Finally, please know that we have had to temporarily pause on renovations to our school gymnasium due to a variety of factors. As you may be aware, St. Anastasia Catholic Church is currently under renovation, and our JCHS gymnasium will be utilized as a gathering space for mass for both schools in the fall of the upcoming school year. Due to this and several other planning factors, renovation efforts to this space will not begin in earnest until early 2025. We appreciate your patience and understanding!

Thank you for partnering with us as we take this long-awaited step on the athletic field house project - we are so grateful for the on-going support of our community!
