1. Be in your assigned seat when the tardy bell rings.

2. No talking unless called on by the teacher or if the teacher has given you permission to talk quietly.

4. Be sure your name is on everything you send to the printer.

5. Proofread all work and correct errors before turning it in to the teacher.

6. Always have a pen or pencil and your folder in class with you.

7. No food, drink, candy, or gum is allowed in the classroom. As per the handbook, anyone who chews gum will have his/her name turned in to the administration.

8. If you are aware beforehand that you will be missing a class, you are responsible to obtain the work or take the test in advance. This is true for sporting events and field trips as well as for personal reasons.

9. Any student cheating on a test will receive a zero for that test.

10. I will be available to help you after school to get caught up on missing assignments or to help you with concepts that you do not understand. You will not be able to move ahead with the class until you have completed the work that was missed.

11. For those classes that use the Internet: Access only the specific areas on the Internet that have been assigned by the teacher, unless you have received permission to go to another location. Do not access outside e-mail, facebook, twitter, etc. accounts. Any attempt to access material via the Internet that is considered inappropriate by the teacher or by the administration will be considered a serious offense.

12. Work only at the computer assigned to you. You will be held responsible for any damage to the software and hardware at your computer.

13. Stay with the class. Do not work ahead unless you have received permission to do so from the teacher.

14. Do not bring diskettes, CDs, headphones, or key drives from home. Use only the ones provided by the school. These are to be kept in the lab at all times.

15. Do not open another student’s computer folder. Do not make changes to another student’s work. Do not access the network drive unless instructed to do so by the teacher. These are considered serious offenses.

16. Never touch the teacher’s computer or items on the teacher’s desk. The area behind the teacher’s desk is off limits.

17. You will be allowed one restroom pass per month unless you have brought in a note from the office stating that you have a medical reason to be excused on a regular basis.

18. Infractions of the rules will be dealt with in a variety of ways, including after school work or study detention, parental conference and/or referral to the Dean of Students.

Grading and Test Policy: All grades have equal weight, whether test, quiz, project, or class work. If a student is absent on the day of a test, he/she is expected to take the test on the day the student returns.
